The most terrifying experience…
… of his little life…
Okay, so yesterday after I posted, we went to eat at El Torero. Then Steve wanted to go out to his parents for a while, which was fine, and he says, “I’m going to wash the car first.” I didn’t want to, I told him we should just go to his parents and he can wash the car later that night. We had to be back at the house by 8 anyway, and it wouldn’t be the first time he’d gone out to wash the car after 9:00pm. But, nooooo, he has to wash it now.
So we go to the car wash, not one of those automated things, but one of them where you put your quarters in and wash it yourself. Just as I was thinking, I hope Elijah doesn’t get scared, Steve sprayed the back windshield and Elijah freaked out. He was terrified nearly the whole time. Every time Steve would spray the back windshield or the window he would just freak out again. (Elijah is still rear-facing by the way.) Not that I blame him. So I ended up in the backseat with him. Then I ended up trying to give him a bottle, that worked while Steve was using the brush on the car, but as soon as he started spraying again, Elijah started freaking out again. So I ended up getting him out of the car seat, but still then he was scared. So we got out of the car and went and stood out in front of the carwash. Steve came back around and sprayed the back of the car, and even though we were 20 feet away, Elijah freaked out again. Poor little guy, he was just terrified. I told Steve, never again, from now on you take the car to the wash by yourself, lol. When we were leaving I was putting him back in his carseat he kept looking around really fast with this terrified look on his face. And I know he was scared and not hungry or just mad because we were in the car but not moving, because his cries were different. Just sounded scared. And he had tears in his eyes and he just looked so scared - I almost started crying too at one point.
Poor little guy!!!
Today me and Elijah and Sarah, and maybe Steve are going to go shopping in Fenton. I think I hear E up, so I’m going to go now and get ready.
