With all the normalness of today, it almost passed me by that today would have been my grandmother’s birthday. She would have been eighty-six years old today. It also makes me realize that next month, it will have been two years since she died, on October 14.
This amazes me.
I never thought I could live without her and I still miss her very, very, very much. Any long dwelt thoughts, and I am heading towards tears.
Didn’t she look just like Drew Barrymore? I’d tell her that every time I saw this picture. She’d laugh.

I will be posting more photos later, of all the stuff I got back last weekend. Have been trying to upload to sxc.hu, but their server is being stupid. So I popped them onto a cd and will try from school tomorrow (much faster than my dialup). I’ll post those here later.
We went to the fair today, it was pretty fun, even though when you think about it, all we did was walk around.
We got a late start, but that was okay. Sarah spent the night last night and we had to take her home, too. Elijah got really red in the face, I guess because he was hot. It was a nice day though, really, it was only hot when you were moving in the sun. But I’m sure I’ll be sunburned by tomorrow!
[:monkey:] There’s a little monkey there, we saw him last year, in a booth thing. If you give him a quarter, he will tip his hat and you can pay to have your picture with him. I begged Steve to let me get Elijah’s picture with him and we finally did right before we left. I didn’t want to be in it, but was kind of forced into it. I guess because they put the monkey on your shoulder, and Elijah’s bare shoulders were too little for that. So I’ve scanned that photo and will attach it to this entry. It’s cute, it looks like E is shaking the monkey’s hand. [/:monkey:]

Can you find your house??
Sadly, for my area, these are only as recent as 1996, but here goes.
The picture to the right has my house in it, circled. You’ll see the push pin is in the wrong place; that’s how we keep getting by our mortgage company trying to make us get flood insurance. They put us further down the highway/hill where if we were there, then we would be in flood zone, but we’re not where we are at currently. Even Flood of ‘93 didn’t get this high up. But all the online maps are wrong, and that’s what they rely on. Heck, usually they put us even further down. :lol:
That photo also points out the ice place (which I may talk about later today) and our friends’ house (which I mention occassionally).
