Whoo-hoo, I am getting DSL!!!
But shhhhhh… Steve doesn’t know yet…
Ok, so I know what you’re thinking, “she always complains about bills and not having money, what is this?”
1. my Christmas present to me
2. it’s SBC/Yahoo so it is $26.95 (we didn’t have the right phone plan to get the $19.95). I am dropping the 2nd phone line that is for my free dialup, I get the modem free, no activation fee, and since we keep going over our long distance, I changed the long distance plan so that when all is said and done, I am told that our monthly payments should be the same as they are now. All I have to pay is the shipping for the modem.
So yippie!!
In one week’s time, I will be full speed…
I guess this means I will have yet another email address to deal with. I wonder, can you combine the sbcglobal addresses with current Yahoo addresses??? I’ve been thinking of getting rid of my current Yahoo one anyway but I still get soooooooo much mail there…
This will be great for all those large files I am getting from Kay and Betty for those projects!
[EDIT] Oh yeah! And know what else this means!? No more blocked sites!!! Re: here [/EDIT]

Wow, Hi-Tech finaly! :-D
YAY! :D Oooh, that’s brilliant news! I wouldn’t give up my 1MB connection for the world now . . . I know it’s sad, but netheads like me think that this stuff is important! :)
V xx
Yay! DSL! yay! haha. Congrats! =D
How fast will your new connection be?
I am on cable, and my speed is 300k. In my area, it is actually possible to get a 1500k connection, but it’s very expensive and I have no real need for it.
Looks like 384Kbps-1.5Mbps downstream and 128Mbps upstream. The whole deal.
