not as stupid as I thought

So I guess that little mouse isn’t as stupid as I thought… no, I still haven’t caught him. My trap by his hiding place has gone untouched.

I just heard him rustling through the wall in front of me to my left.

I am going to put a trap out in front of the fridge, it will be waiting for him when he comes out for his midnight snack.

Of course, I also have to make sure it’s not waiting for Steve in the morning as well… :secret:

 Happy Thanksgiving, Mouse.

never thought I’d do this

Yeah never thought I’d do this, but I’m going to advertise. I want my free Ipod. And I’ve been seeing everywhere where people have actually gotten them.

I just need three more referrals, I have two. If you go through this link and sign up and complete an offer, I can get one. They even have an offer by Blockbuster.

I signed up quite a while ago but never really advertised it, so let’s, as Steve says constantly, “get ‘er done.”

Feel free to ask a favor in return. :cute:

Thanks so far to larsipan on yahoo.com and lindsey_cooley on hotmail. ;-)

just beat me to death, please!

Yesterday afternoon, I was talking to Sam about how I’ve been feeling really tired and I’m not sure why. She suggested it was stress, and while I think that’s a big factor, the realization hit me last night what it is. I’m not getting any sleep.

Here’s how my night went…

11.00pm - everyone’s in bed, but I can hear Elijah playing. I lay there thinking that when he’s quiet for a while I’ll go down and cover him up.
12.30am - I wake up to Elijah crying, I figure he’s cold so I head downstairs and cover him up. I can’t remember if I gave him a bottle or anything, I don’t think so…
1.30am - He wakes up again and again I go downstairs. Straighten him back out and cover him back up and rub his back, he quiets down…
2.30am - He wakes me up again and in my sleepyness I start complaining. I think he’s cold. So Steve goes down and puts the space heater in his room
3.30am - He’s up again… I gave him a bottle with a little water in it
4.30am - He’s crying yet again. I stumble down the stairs almost killing myself and end up changing his diaper. He’s got a little tiny bit of pootie but it’s hardly wet. This makes me worry that something is wrong. I give him back that bottle of water that he didn’t finish. Slap some diaper cream on there and go back to bed. This became my longest stretch to sleep I believe.
5.45am - Have to get up and make Steve’s lunch. I have been wanting to stay up when he leaves because then I don’t sleep too late. I did it yesterday, but I was just beat this morning. It was like having an infant again.

exploding? I think not

I joined Blog Explosion a bit ago (before my computer went down?) on a referral from Owen’s site.

And I see all these sites that I surf to through there that say things like “I joined Blog Explosion two days ago and now…” blah blah blah, all these really great things.

So far I see no explosion here. Maybe it’s cause I never advertised? So here goes…

So everyone should go join Blog Explosion. ;-)

and life goes on…

I thought I saw a snowflake flutter by me a few minutes ago when I took the trash out.
Not a good sign. I don’t want to be snowed in on Thanksgiving and they are calling for snow… well, some of them are, some of them aren’t, it depends on who you talk to. But I would rather not be snowed in, I want to go see my family come Thanksgiving.
We are going first to Steve’s aunt & uncle’s (one of them) at noon. Then we have to be at my uncle’s… at least fifty miles away from the first… at four.

Yesterday, Elijah was sick. It was so wierd, my day, it was…. Continue reading ‘and life goes on…’

a thank you

Received in the mail yesterday from my brother and sister-in-law:

Val & Steve,
Thank you both so much for all you’ve done for us. Val, thanks for all your help with the wedding - things would have definitly been a lot harder without you. And Steve, thanks for all you’ve done for me - advice & help with the cars, letting me use your tools & garage, etc.
We also want to thank you both for the wedding present. The picture looks good in the apartment. Thanks for all the wedding & reception pictures you took, too.
We love you both, and I’m glad to know that you guys are there for us if & when we need you. We couldn’t ask for better family. Make sure you stop by whenever you’re in the area, and feel free to call anytime for whatever reason.
- R & M

Made my day.

I’m back! (Finally)

And –yahoo– so far the third motherboard in this thing is working just fine! No memory errors or anything weird as of yet. Let’s hope it stays that way!! :-D

Now I have to reinstall everything. :dead:
Have the ‘big’ software installed so far and all my externals (printer, scanner, pocketpc) and am now working on all my files and ’smaller’ programs. Get all those done and I can start catching up on things as well as getting back to studying my networking files and working on my final project for web development and scanning those old photos I borrowed from my mom forever ago AND working on that newspaper project that I had going on, etc. :cute:

Thanks all for the sweet thoughts/comments! ;-)

Oh yeah, and I am also now successfully running Windows XP Service Pack 2 without problems. The trick is starting with a new hard drive with only the bare minimum and a virus checker installed. HA! (I’d been putting off installing it because of all the horror stories I’d heard.)
