Imagine it in your mind…

…seven children ages three and under at a birthday party for one of the youngest… what does that say to you?

Mayhem.

And that’s what it was this evening. We were only there for about 3 hours, but it felt like a lot longer than that. During that time, I witnessed many things including Elijah being pushed down by a two-year old almost the second we got there which later resulted in knock down, drag out fights between Elijah, that two year old, and the three year old over several toys - mostly trucks and toddler riding vehicles, and a very messy one-year old… can we say cake?

Ah, I thought I was going to go crazy before the night was over!

And now I remember why we didn’t throw E a first birthday party…

    talk about hectic! At least you had something to do ;) i guess.. lol. Interesting pictures I should say. That’s what most kids start to turn out like as they grow =O what could we do? Nothing much.. I guess the only thing is their parents have to do something bout it.. somehow =/

    Wow, sounds like they really went at it! Three hours could definitely seem like a very long time! The pictures look great. :) Steve looks funny, my dad did something like that before. Hah hah, silly men. :P And for a second I thought that was the birthday boy! :D

    Oh my god, poor you! All the more reason to wait to have kids! I have no stress level as it is! Gadzooks, motherhood must take alot out of you! I admire your energy so far! ;)

    You have more stamina than I–we would have left after an hour or so! They say birthday parties are suppose to have as many kids as the child’s age…

    I sort of think it takes a crazy person to organize this kind of person. I’ve heard of the same rule as Sara, and that just seems so much more reasonable to me. After all, when the kid is 1, he or she will not appreciate the party. It’s more for the adults, so cut the kids off the guestlist already!
