Well, we’re back from the doctor’s and Elijah is playing in his room. As I told the doctor, it’s weird because he’s really cranky but yet he’s also in a really good mood. I guess what I mean is that certain things are really ticking him off right now, more than normal.

They perscribed him some more medication, some stronger stuff than he had last time (about 3 weeks ago). They say he has two ear infections again, although she says one is not bad and the other moderate. The stupid part though is that while they say there’s no strep in his throat, it’s possible he could have it in his sinuses. But no matter, they say, this medication is supposed to take care of all of it. Whatever.

It never ceases to amaze me every time I go to the doctors’ and am going to be getting medication for either me or Elijah. How much do we trust these people that we’ll take whatever they tell us to. Put some foreign substance into our bodies or the bodies of our children, even though we don’t know 100% what it will do to us - we just take the word of the physicians who say it will help us? Just amazing…
