hmmm… what?

This is getting rediculous…

Absolutely crazy. It is now 87.3° F, in my house. For my Celsius friends, that’s 30.7°. And it’s getting hotter. Certainly hotter in here than on June 29th, although cooler outside than then.

Hotter in here, even though it’s starting to actually cool off outside. I’ve watched the temperature outside go down one degree at a time over the last couple of hours. Every time it goes down a degree, the house goes up!! Seriously.

I swear, I think the AC has been going non-stop since late this morning, but it just continues to get hotter! For once, it’s actually cooler upstairs than downstairs (because of the extra window unit up there - only one central AC vent).

It has occurred to me that maybe the reason this computer has been acting slower lately could be because of the heat. Don’t laugh, I’ve seen this happen. When our AC in the tv room was going out little by little over about five weeks, I watched the video computer in there get progressively worse. Granted, that’s an older computer (way older) and this one should be able to handle heat better, but it’s a lot hotter in here than it got in there. The first day we shot with our brand new AC… yeah, no problems with the video computer. Hmmm.

Also running constantly today: the dehumidifier in the basement. I’d bring it up here… but… it’s… heavy. It’s humid outside, too. Of course. What else would it be?

Ooohhh, my poor candles. The lids keep popping from the heat!! They’re all going to melt and I’m going to lose a lot of money! :P

I don’t know how much longer I can take this… :censored:

EDIT: well, it’s official. It blew a fuse. So the fan was running but not the compressor. So yeah, not cold air was coming out. GRRR. But, at least it isn’t completely dead. At least the fuse was replaced and now it’s working again.

    Could you refrigerate the candles?

It’s hot here in Tennessee too! and huuuuuuuumid! The air I breathe feels like it’s already been used!

    Drink lots of liquids!

Heat really is hard on computers. And humans. Especially on humans trying to deal with sluggish computers. Argh!

It’s becoming more hot here too (did you send it?? if so: Thanks :D) But not as hot as at your place; it rarely does to be honest…. (it might do that in the eastern part of Norway, though; where I grew up!)

Good thing the fuse was replaced, hope the cool air are filling the house by now!

It’s getting colder where I live! Sometimes it’s so cold I have to wear my coat outside, even though this is supposed to be the hottest part of the summer! The heatwave we had a couple of weeks ago only lasted a few days.
