hmmm… what?

$345.96

Yup, I just ordered my candle supplies and I spent $345.96. This had better be worth it!

After literally a few hours of deliberation I decided on:
Christmas Cheer
Gingerbread
Home Sweet Home
Nutmeg & Cedar
Peppermint
Snow Angels
Sugar Cookie
Sweet Apple Crisp
Warm Vanilla Sugar
Whipped Pumpkin Pie
Winter Woods

Thanks, everyone, for voting! :cute: Most of those had at least three votes, Sugar Cookie, for instance, had seven. Gingerbread had two, but I felt it a necessity. I was going to try and get it down to 10 and choose between Snow Angels and Winter Woods (both 3 votes)… but I just couldn’t. Some I had to decide against simply because of price or similarity to a scent I already have or those I was already for sure getting, etc.

As I was telling Video, whoever chose Sweet Apple Crisp should be shot. That is the most expensive scent I’ve ever bought! And I don’t get it either, it seems so basic. But, of course, I can’t shoot those people… otherwise I’d have to shoot Steve and my mom, too. And I don’t think that’s such a good idea. :)

I then bought 2 cases of wax and several colors. I had to pay $50.25 in shipping, that stuff is heavy!

Oh, some of you asked about swirling colors? I don’t know how to swirl, necessarily, but I can layer and can do this which is kind of like layering but I tried to make it more blended where the colors change. I guess Peppermint will end up either like that or in red and white stripes. The only problem with doing that is that I have to make something like a batch and a half, so it throws me off for future batches, and it’s not as easy as straight coloring, of course. Both that and layering will take at least twice as long to do as normal. So who knows…

I need to find a new fair this fall, my deal with Sarah included five fairs. :) (Click through her site to see what I mean.)
But the one for November 12 people called me back today and informed me that no one is getting in - they have a waitlist. They put me on it, but it maybe several years before I get in. I sent off my $115 for the one in historical Kimmswick, MO yesterday and my $10 for the local one in mid-October. Actually, at the local one, I think I’m not going to stress the candles so much as my local website… we’ll see how that turns out.

Anyway, I think I’m getting sick again. My throat’s been hurting since yesterday morning and my stomach since last night. Bleh. I think I’m going to go lay down on the floor in the living room.

Why the floor? Because Steve is sleeping on the couch, he refuses to go upstairs. But if I fall asleep upstairs when E gets up from his nap I won’t hear him. Blah.

A lot of good choices there ;) Hope you find a way to make swirls; that would be so cool!

Hope the nap helps and that you feel better. Please try and roll Steve off the sofa, so you don’t have to sleep on the floor ;)

I hope you feel better soon. I don’t have much experience with candles, but those look like good choices. Good luck at the next fair!

Definitely agree with Lime, just roll him off! Hope you’re feeling much better now.

Those scents sound absolutely delicious. Sweet Apple Crisp might’ve been pricey, but it sounds divine to me!
