Moving right along

Check this out:

[sound clip removed - it was acting funny, anyway]

*Update: my website is playing this ever so slightly slower than it’s supposed to be, you know what I’m talking about, like slow motion. Is it me - or anyone else getting this?

That is part of what we worked on early this afternoon. You might remember me talking about the DVDs to computer to website thing we’re trying to do at church? Well that audio clip I ripped from a DVD we made today and then maximized volume, and there you have it. It’s our music guy singing an original song he wrote. I really like that song, too. :)

As you can see, we’ve still got some audio issues to work out. It sounds funny to me and the beginning reminds me of sound you might get from an old VHS tape. But hey, so far so good! This Sunday will be our first real run and we’ll tape the whole service. So I have work to do to the website to get it ready for posting services, etc.

You might also remember the one I was talking about where I recorded Elijah and Sarah walking around on stage and playing with the piano. The DVD at the time didn’t work - turned out it wasn’t closed. So we closed that today and it works great! Lower quality, of course, and no noticable audio, but who cares? ;-) I might post that sometime in the future…

Lyrics, for those who can’t listen… (sorry, there are a couple of words I can’t understand myself)

Amazed

Lord, I come to You today
I am humbled and amazed
Amazed at who You are
You’re in everything I see
You’re the light that lives in me
And I’m amazed

You tell the sun to shine so bright
You hang the moon to light the night
You change the winter into spring
And nature takes its place to sing
You set the evening stars in place
You extend Amazing Grace
And I’m amazed
I’m amazed

Lord, I come to You today
I am humbled and amazed
Amazed at who You are
You’re in everything I see
You’re the light that lives in me
And I’m amazed

You tell the sun to shine so bright
You hang the moon to light the night
You change the winter into spring
And nature takes its place to sing
You set the evening stars in place
You extend Amazing Grace
And I’m amazed
I’m amazed

So let the ocean sing its song
Let all creation join along
And let the saints of God rejoice
With lifted hands and hearts and voice
The forest stare (?) in honor raise
The forest (?) lift their hands in praise
And I’m amazed

You tell the sun to shine so bright
You hang the moon to light the night
You change the winter into spring
So nature takes its place to sing
You set the evening stars in place
And you extend Amazing Grace
And I’m amazed
I’m amazed
I’m amazed
I’m amazed

Definitely so far so good. I agree about the beginning but I still think it’s pretty darn good. About the slowness, it doesn’t seem slow to me at all. The song is pretty, he did a great job. :) Well good luck this Sunday and with the website.
