…the designs on this cup will most assuredly wear off and soon will have your child screaming bloody murder because Dora has been disfigured and Boots is just that… only boots.

OMG I know what you mean. Noddy’s worn off one of his cups; do you think he’ll use it now?!

Oh, ouch–I can almost hear it over here… ;) hang in there…Dora shall pass, and about the time she does it will be onwards and upwards to yet another toy/cup to divert him–never fear. :) *hugs* I know how it feels!

I’ll never understand why they don’t make children’s things so unreliable. We’ve had the same problem with a Shrek cup and a John Deere cup.

Wow, that’s horrible! My niece would freak out if something like that happened. *sigh* What happened to GOOD products?

Perhaps when you see it’s all faded off, you throw it away before Elijah sees it? Just a thought :)

Never heard of engineered obsolescence? It’s very common in kid’s products, especially since the makers of such goods usually have a monopoly on the iconography (in this case, Dora) they’re selling, meaning that nobody else can produce a better product that would force them to improve theirs.

Poor kid, always a bummer if I remember right… I agree with Chelsea, toss the cup and save yourself and him from any further “trauma.” (:
