hmmm… what?

computer randomness

Reformatting sucks, you know?
It’s a long story but basically yesterday I finally said, the heck with the internet that refuses to work suddenly on the laptop, I’ll reformat both computers and see how that works. The desktop needed it badly anyway and if I’m doing that one, I might as well do the laptop so it can start with a fresh network as well.
So anyway, we’re back and running it seems. Most of my stuff has been reinstalled on the laptop but I’m waiting for my files to transfer from the external hard drive to the desktop (which is taking FOREVER) so I can reinstall stuff there.

Haters
I wanted to post here last night but got sidetracked by the comments in my moderation panel. Yes, there are currently 12 comments waiting to be approved for this post. All from Geek Squad employees. Some of them admit it, others don’t but all I know is I’ve had 254 hits this month from geeksquadforums.com. So you decide.
I’ll approve the comments a bit later today after I’ve edited a few of them for profanity, I don’t appreciate people coming here and using the “f-word” and calling me an “asswipe.”
I love how they’ve all got their panties in a bunch over this though. It’s just too bad that 90% of them won’t bother to read all the previous comments because if they did, they’d realize that what they’re saying is completely repetetive and pointless.

New Theme
Some of you have mentioned my new theme, so I thought I’d mention that it’s really nothing special. ;-) Several weeks ago, I was working on a new site and installed the K2 plugin/theme on it. I’ve been wanting to try it for several months but never got around to looking at it. So on the new site, I liked it and tried it here. The theme is just modified a bit from one you can download. Maybe before long I’ll get a chance to create something that’s all my own again.

Dude! Spoken-for.org looks different on this Israeli computer screen.. interesting. :)

Anyway. I don’t like reformatting. Nobody does. :) You have my sympathy though….

I should reformat one of these days … but it just sounds like so much work!

Awww, poor Geeks. Got their undies all knotted up.

Oh boy…..can’t wait to see what those morons have to say. I know it’s not fair to call ALL people who work for Geek Squad morons or something…but when the shoe fits…ya know? They need to just suck it up and move on. They also need to realize a lot of people who work for the Geek Squad really don’t know what they are doing. Your case proves it.

I’d love to see the post on the geeksquad forums that’s pointing people here, but, alas, it’s passworded and only Geek Squad Agents can register accounts.

If this is how they conduct themselves, though, then I have no further use for Best Buy or it’s Geek Squad.

I don’t like reformatting either and my computer needs it badly. It hasn’t been, hmm, “clean” for almost 3 years now. I’ve been thinking of a new computer for a while now. Maybe formatting is the solution [and cheaper too].
