Idol Boys Re-Cap
Taylor Hicks - an enjoyable performance, smooth and mostly in tune.
Elliot Yamin - sounded a bit choppy, not interesting at all. Randy called him “baby” - lol… twice!
Ace Young - started out really flat and out of tune. Ended up okay, certainly nothing worth remembering. Except that high note. You know, because I’m now at only 80% hearing after that one.
Gedeon McKinney - classic, lovely, well performed. Elijah clapped for him even. But his smile annoys me so bad lol.
Kevin Covais - about as good as any white boy could do I guess, needed more pep though. Not good enough to make me want to vote for you this time around. Did you notice when the cameraman lost focus on his face at the end? I notice things like that. :P
And, ohmygosh, he does look like Chicken Little! I knew he looked familiar for some reason!
Jose Penala - a pretty song and he performed it well though on a scale of 1 to 10, I’m only about a 6 in impressed. I’m just seeing the same thing over and over between all the contestants so far, no one is standing out too much, everyone’s the same.
Will Makar - what, are you trying to make Kenny Rogers sound like opera? Don’t get me started. You should go bye-bye, plain and simple.
Bucky Covington - not bad at all, but I really can’t stand Garth Brooks so I find it harder to be impartial on this one, hehe. But please, for the sake of America, if you do win, change your freaking name and cut your hair.
David Radford - A little too cheery sounding for this song, lol. But otherwise pretty good except for the bit o’ flatness at the end there.
Chris Daughtry - awe-freaking-some. He has been one of my favorites so far (as far as the guys go) and now he just moved to the absolute top of the list for me for both girls and guys.
Okay so it was clarified tonight that we’re getting rid of four total, two girls, two guys. I think… the guys that will go bye-bye will be Elliott and Will… or David.
