So here’s my stupid list for the week:

Girl Who Comments
So some chick comments on one of my more recent posts and subscribes to comments. She gets two emails then fills out my online form:

Hi I commented on your site and I didn’t realise you had one of those damn
subscription things and now I keep receiving emails about new comments. And
your unsubscribe thing doesn’t work so I can’t unsubscribe from it.
You should really put a warning that you have one of them.

Stupidity is found in lines one and four. It’s a little obvious, the subscription thingy, no? You know, because it’s right there below the comment text area and right above the submit button.

Blog Explosion Administrators
Some of you know that I have one of those little wordpress.com blogs and just because, I thought I’d add it to my Blog Explosion account. The next day I got this email:

Your blog has been declined at Blogexplosion as you need to make at least 2-3 entries there.

To make sure that the blogs added have content we usually only accept blogs after at least 2 entries. This will ensure that members have something to read on your blog when visiting.

In addition it give us a better chance at reviewing the blog.

So get writing and add a couple of entries and re-submit your blog when you have made a couple of entries!

If that was the case, then fine. But nope, the blog had at that time 13 entries. Only two were displayed on the main page with a link at the bottom: “previous entries.” So, DUH. That goes to show you the admins just aren’t paying attention. And besides that, if you look at their TOS, etc., there is nothing that says anything about the amount of entries you have to have. So I replied and then resubmitted.

No direct response but the next day I got this..

…again. I’d even added an entry since the first time I was declined, and I was declined by the same person… so you’d think they’d notice, hey, this one is dated today, oh look, there are more than two entries here! Deet-de-dee.

So this time I changed the amount of entries shown on the main page to 20, and posted another entry, and the next day, guess what? Yeah, I was accepted.

On My Part
And finally, I award myself the third stupidity award of the day for not thinking ahead. I wanted to get groceries today while I was out running around, but, nooooo! Sarah and I had already packed up all my candles for tomorrow’s fair! :p

Such stupidity. :p
