Walking in Memphis

At Graceland

Well, what can I say? The other day, Sarah, Elijah, and I made the trek to Memphis, during Elvis week, nonetheless. We had so much fun! I only wish we could have stayed longer than one night. There is so much to see and do but, sadly, funds and time are very low right now.

I think that this time, I’ll let the photos do the talking for me, but in a nutshell, we visited Graceland on Tuesday afternoon and ended the evening with a nice dinner and a lovely trolley ride around town. And on Wednesday, we visited a historical cemetery before heading home. It’s too bad that we couldn’t visit Memphis Botanical Gardens as originally planned or stay for the candelight vigil at Graceland on Tuesday - but I don’t think any of us were up for that. But we still had a blast. Elijah, for one, is still talking about it! :-)

View my set of photos for the whole trip, or just Graceland, just the cemetery, etc.

Here are some of my favorites:

Hey Val, your pictorial tour of Graceland and trip to Memphis were great! You’ve got some really great shots with your new camera. :)

And I hope I don’t spoil anything, but if I don’t get around this weekend, I just wanted to wish you a most wonderful and happy birthday! *hugs*

The one and only time I was in Memphis, I did NOT go to Graceland. Only because it was expensive, and I still regret that to this day…

    Happy Birthday!
