Turkey Day in Review
So how was your Thanksgiving? Mine was really good. :)
We went first to my parents’ house and got together with some extended family and then went to Steve’s parents’ house for an immediate family gathering there. Mostly I have pictures from the first gathering, I took a few at the second but none were as good as these.
Of course, most of the photos are of Elijah and my niece, it seems. That would be because, not only did I, for once, not take a lot of photos, but both of them are just so darn cute and photogenic!
Of course, I also learned something… I now get to teach my three-year-old the concept of theft and not to do it:
In this photo, Elijah was upset here because Steve had handed my niece one of his toy cars. But if you look closely at that green car in her hand, you realize something. It’s a Ramone from the Cars movie, and it’s not even Elijah’s! Turned out he swiped it from Sarah! I’m not sure when he did it, but it just appeared at the house this week. I’ve been asking him all the time, “Is that Aunt Sarah’s car?” “NO! It’s Elijah’s Ramon, Elijah’s car, MY car!” That night, after this photo, when we were at her house, I asked Sarah. She didn’t know he had it at all, she didn’t give it to him. She’d already given him her Flo, and he has two other Ramones, a purple and a yellow, around here somewhere.
So my little boy has officially stolen something now, and from his aunt at that! How to break this before it becomes a habit, I wonder?
