hmmm… what?

Can I have a guitar? Please? Can I have a guitar?

Last Saturday, Elijah and I were waiting in the Jeep for Steve to come out of the house so we could leave for some shopping. Out of the blue, Elijah says to me, “Can I have a guitar? Please? Can I have a guitar?” He totally caught me off guard, and I told him we’d see what Daddy said.

Then we were in the store. And guess what we saw? A starter guitar for only $20!

Isn’t it strange how things work out? ;-) This is especially interesting when you consider that Steve told me he saw the same thing in another store the next day, for $80!

E played a bit with the display model. That was just a distraction while I put one in the cart. We were quite successful, he still doesn’t know we bought it, and it’s now wrapped in Dora the Explorer paper.

Maybe my kid will be a musical genius. :-D

Well of course he is going to be a musical genius. Didn’t his awesome aunt and uncle get him a keyboard a few years ago?

Wow, that IS quite surprising! That’s something I don’t think I’ve ever heard a kid, especially one so young, ask for before. He does seem like he really likes music, though, so who knows, maybe that is his calling. :D

Oh, and yes, it is strange how things work out sometimes. It’s like it’s meant to be. :)

It’s so awesome that you found that just after he asked for it, and even better that he didn’t notice you got it. Oh it’s going to be so awesome when he opens that up!
    Merry Christmas :)

Oh my, that should be exciting! :) Congrats on the deal. Usually those things are expensive. I hope he loves it!

    Happy Holidays!

My parents got J a guitar last year, and this year Tyler found a drumset that he wanted to get it. Add to that the old keyboard of mine and we might just become the Partridge Family ;)
