[...] Elijah was really good on the ride to St. Louis. When I asked him if he was hungry, he said, “Yesss, I hungry.” (He’s saying “yes” to questions now which is realllllly nice.) Of course he was hungry, he only ate one bite of that stupid cheese sandwich. Anyway, he was really good up until the point that we were in the mall and returning that box at Bath and Body Works. Then he freaked out. He wanted to see the duckies at the front of the store and he would not behave, just was horrid. Then he was good once we left the store, grrr. By the way, BBW did end up charging me for that order but the people in the store said they credited me, though I have to call the internet people to get them to refund my $17 in shipping.
Okay! I just got off the phone with them. The other two charges did come through today so I figured I'd better call.

She said that the difference in the overcharges was the tax. The website didn't tell me I was going to have to pay it and underestimated it. Apparently this is a problem they're aware of and are working on. However, even though I said that, well if it is tax I am supposed to pay then okay, they are still crediting me each one of those charges.

And they are going to credit me... something about the shipping on that second order and not charge me for the duplicate - so now that I think about it, maybe they're crediting me the shipping on the actual order and not charging me for the duplicate, maybe she misunderstood what I said and thought that the actual order arrived late as well? Well, either way, I am supposed to take the duplicate back to a store and be credited. That kinda sucks because I am an hour from any store, but I have needs to go to those areas before long anyway.

I might get in there, though, and tell them I want to keep the ducky but return the rest, Eljiah loves the duckies. ;-) (The ducky came with a bath bubbles and that was what I got for my 11 year old cousin. Elijah already has a magenta duck he got in there last month bringing his rubber duck collection to six now.)

Wow, that's really weird. You should definitely call to resolve this and also go to a store if possible. Getting an order twice and being overcharged on every order is very, hmmm, bad? Call to see if you can avoid the double charge and of course this mysterious overcharge on every order!

So weird. Please keep us updated as to what happens.

Hmmm... I just noticed that my problems with them may be bigger than I thought. Looks like they overcharged me on all of the online orders I placed that I've been billed for so far:

$0.93 on the first
$2.77 on the second
$4.14 on the third
$2.81 on the fourth

Those are all rather small amounts by themselves but together they are $10.65 and that is just not a sign of a good, trustworthy company! Also, the smallest overcharge is on the smallest order and the largest overcharge is on the biggest, so it's almost like there's a system to this or something. (??) But I know they are not sales tax because that's already included in the totals I have, from the printouts on their website from within "My Account."

So if this duplicated order comes through, I'm sure I'll be overcharged on that one, too. I'm going to wait a few days before contacting them though, because not even the charge I did in the store has come through yet, on the 28th. So I'm going to wait and make sure everything comes through before I call them and let them know just how much they screwed up.

Heh - and now I picked up three more washes at a little non-gift-exchange at a the last Christmas family gathering yesterday! Haha ;-)

@ Shawna - you know, the US Postal Service did that to me, too. I ordered stamps online, sometime in 2006, and they arrived but then a month or so later I got another shipment. I was incredibly busy at the time and so the package sat on my table unopened for a few weeks as I kept forgetting about it. And then I got a bill from the USPS to return the duplicates or be charged as well. I should have just kept them... the Christmas cards cleaned me out of stamps. ;-)
