Still working on that video…
I don’t think my blood pressure has been this high since I was having a baby… I am so nervous and stressed out right now. Let me tell you why.
I’ve been working on that Veteran’s video again for the umpteenth time. I’ve been here for nearly five hours again. I guess my total of work on this is somewhere around 20 hours now.
So I finished up all the transitions yesterday evening, and the underlying music, etc. Today I had to put the photos on. Photos of both the veterans themselves when they were in service as well as other things like the ships they served on, etc. That took a lot longer than I thought it would right there.
Then the “guy in charge” came up here just as I had finished the last photo and I went over a few things with him and then we watched the whole thing, stopping a few times to fix some high or low audio and such. The program is right around 37 minutes, so there went nearly an hour down the drain for me.
I then had to lay off the program to a reference file and that’s where the real fun started. It would render the effects and send off the audio file but halfway through doing the video part it would stop and give me an error that said “MEDIA_DRIVE_NOT_SHARED” - just like that. To make a long story short, what came next was a lot of errors and crashing and I couldn’t even get the program to close due to some sort of sharing error. So I’m freaking out, totally. I’ve never had these errors before when exporting anything.
I think I have it figured out now, but I’m so nervous. I feel like my heart is in my throat.
I’m waiting for one DVD to burn but I’m afraid that it won’t have all the right stuff on it. And I’m also waiting for another reference file to squeeze. Even Sorenson was giving me errors that I’d never seen/had before with that.
So we shall see. But here it is going on 4pm. I told my friend/neighbor that I hoped to be back by 2.30 to pick up E from there! Crazy!!! And if this first DVD is okay, I still have to make at least 15 copies it so there goes another 15 minutes or so. We do have a high speed duplicator, but I can only do 7 copies at once, takes about 5 minutes each time.
Ahhhhhhhhh! Even though I love videography and editing and stuff, I’ll be glad when I’m done with this project! This deadline is just killing me. :)
