Dear Valerie whoever-you-are, stop trying to reset my passwords at various services! It’s not gonna work!
Yes, I’m talking to you, Boo-boo.
hmmm… what?
Went with Elijah’s school on their field trip today to the pumpkin patch. We brought Sarah along, too, in the hopes that she’d not only have fun but maybe help out with the kids. For only $5 each the kids got to enjoy a hayride around the farm, the playground area, mazes (including a blow-up haunted house one that we didn’t do), and a free pumpkin.
We had a lot of fun up until the point E hurt his wrist. That is such a long story, I think, but to put it shortly I now believe he hurt it in some unknown-to-me way and didn’t say anything. Then he was on the monkey bars and Sarah had his legs and I was taking a picture but because of his wrist (the only reason I can figure), he let go and fell. Usually he will say to me, “I want to get down now,” and never does anything like just letting go. But he did this time and Sarah only had his legs so in a microsecond he went from happy smiling kid to screaming kid face-down in the dirt. At first we thought that was how he hurt his wrist but later when looking through the pictures, I noticed him in a shot of the complete chaos of the area. I didn’t realize he was in that when I took it, but there he is, showing his wrist to his teacher… before the monkey bars fall. Crazy kid. So now I don’t know what he did to hurt it, I’ll have to try and quiz him again tomorrow, but he’s babied it all day. It’s not broken and everyone seems confident it’s not fractured, but maybe he’s got a sprain. Of course, he doesn’t want anyone to touch it… Continue reading ‘Pumpkinheads’
So you know how Stewie is always trying to kill Lois? Uh… yeah.
Elijah wanted more juice and had brought into the living room one of those little bottles from the cooler I had out at the fair today. But he’d already had enough so I was taking it back to the cooler to save for tomorrow. I walked into the dark center/dining room only to find out there was ice cold water all over the floor. I slipped before I knew what was happening and landed with my knees and the whole bottom of my left leg on the floor and my elbows on the top of the cooler. Instantly my back was killing me (and still is).
E came running around the corner and said, “Oh no! Are you gonna died?”
I can haz near death experience, yay!

Went to the community center this afternoon to go swimming. Took Elijah and Sarah and my friend T and her boy came down as well. In all, we were there about two hours and had a great time. I even rode the slide this time. All three of us older ones did, it was really fun! Thank goodness Elijah didn’t want to slide, he’s too short: you have to be 48 inches tall.
Anyway, halfway through, I got out and got my camera to take a few pictures of the kids. I took the three you see above and then was going to take a photo of Sarah as she came down the slide. I’m standing there, in the far end of the kiddie area which starts with a depth of 0′0″ and I’m standing in water that’s four inches deep at most… waiting.

Karah has tagged me as a “Rockin’ Girl Blogger,” thank you, Karah! :) So now it is my turn to add five to the list and ask those girls to continue with five more.

I’ve been sitting here now for a half an hour trying to select my five and I realize this is a harder decision than I thought, every woman on my blogroll rocks! So I have finally come up with five that I have known the longest, maybe some of these wonderful ladies can pass it along to other mutual friends. :)

Keep on rockin’ ;-)
Just wanted to show y’all my cute little boy in his shirt his grandparents brought him back from their trip to the East Coast. He didn’t want to wear it this morning but he was forced into it. Now he wants to wear it tomorrow, too. Guess I’d better throw it in the wash! ;-)
Not to mention this is one of the very few photos where he’s actually looking at me and smiling. Too bad it’s not more on his level, but I can’t be picky when it comes to this boy.
Took the photo outside his school this morning before he went in… before he had a chance to dirty the shirt! Took some outside our house, too, with his little mail truck they also brought back for him, but this one was better!
Okay, enough babbling on about a photo. I’m tired and I think I’ve gotten to my rambling state. Had better go to bed before I get to the slap-happy state…
Up until the last half an hour, E has done nothing but stress me out. First he doesn’t want to wear any of the shirts he owns… then he doesn’t want to leave with me… then he screams because he drops his car but I can’t pick it up because I am driving… then he is, after my class, running from me and not listening while I am trying to talk to some friends… twice he tries to leave the building without me… while I’m trying to wrangle all my stuff and this “wonderful” painted pumpkin he made in his class… still sopping wet with paint five miles thick… then he was pretty good while we were at the park with four of my friends and their kids but then - and this was the one that tipped me into insanity…

Earlier today me and the boys went down to my grandpa’s farm. It’s not very far away but we rarely get a chance to go in between ours and Grandpa’s busy schedules. Seriously, he’s not your typical grandpa. :)
Anyway, more to come later after I get to go through my photos, but here’s a little mosaic I did for my Day 23 of 365 Days today.

Me and E messing around while in Grandpa’s truck, while waiting on the other three. The last photo is one E took of my grandpa, his girlfriend, and Steve all sitting around the table not long after we got there.
