Last Thursday I went to see the production of A Streetcar Named Desire that our friend was in. He played Stanley and this was the first time I got to see him in something, I didn’t make it to his last play which was, I think, Pride & Prejudice. But it’s been nearly a week and I’ve still not shared about it.
While I know the story of A Streetcar Named Desire, I’ve still never seen the movie. The play was good, though, and makes me really want to see the movie. I forgot to ask at the rental place if they have it. Maybe I’ll look for it on Ebay or something. The movie was released in 1951 and stars Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh.

Part of our kitchen cabinets aren’t over anything, this section is between cabinet and the stove. So we keep the trashcan there.
This morning, I was adjusting the can and was apparently closer to the wall than I thought I was and when I stood up, I banged the back of my head into the bottom of the cabinets. I was lucid enough to consciously stop myself from cursing aloud but wow, talk about getting a headache instantly! That and my eyeballs, all around, were suddenly hurting, too.

I was looking on digg.com a bit ago at some of the articles and comments regarding the recent decision by those arrogant judges in California and I just need to rant for a second before I head to bed.

My mom used to accuse me of being a packrat when I was little. There were times when she and dad cleaned my room when I wasn’t home and threw away several trash bags of stuff. Not so much anymore, now I’m the one trying to get rid of stuff. But now, thanks to Elea, I am totally and utterly addicted to this game on Facebook: PackRat!! Tonight’s an off-night, Steve had a meeting and it’s way cold out, so I seem to have spent my whole evening between wrangling Elijah and playing this silly game.
I’ve never played a trading card game before, but I’m really having fun! And it actually requires me to think, so that’s good, too!
So how do you play? Continue reading ‘PackRat!’
Because of one family, an arrogant panel of three judges in California have decided that it is unconstitutional for parents to homeschool their children. They have attempted to make it illegal, if the parent’s not a certified teacher. That’s for the younger children; for secondary school, a parent must be certified in all subjects.
This is a blatant theft of rights, transacted under the table, it is appalling. It does not take a village, people! It is not the government’s business if parents want to homeschool their kids or not. It is especially not their business concerning why the parents want to homeschool. It is not the governments business what curriculum we do or do not want our kids exposed to. Do not let them get away with this.
There is really so much more information than what I could cover right now. Here are some great sites/articles:

Heh, check this out. Never in all my years…
This is a game with a friend of mine from junior high and early high school… she’s gonna kill me. :P
Okay, so while that totally made my day (haha) the day as a whole was good and more on that later, after I go through the photos I took.
Score!! :P
So, my doctor’s appointment. My ears are infected. He gave me antibiotics. Big surprise there. He also prescribed me some Mucinex. This had better be some good stuff. It’s apparently already generic for something called Humibid and it cost us $33.87 because the insurance didn’t cover it. My antibiotic, Amoxic, or something, cost us $5.36, insurance covered $46.25.

So our Leap Day was pretty much uneventful. Had thing in the evening which was pretty fun. Some time with adults, haha. Men against the women and the women, of course, kicked butt.
Saturday morning, though, we all three woke up late and Steve and I both woke up not feeling well. But it was such a nice day outside, so after a couple of hours I suggested we just get out and, if nothing else, just drive around. We grabbed some lunch at the deli in the grocery store but were too hungry to wait to picnic so we just ate as we drove around, haha.
