hmmm… what?
Yeah, I’m not sure how much it ended up being MY day, but you know.
So there at the left we have some of my Mother’s Day gifts from Elijah. He made those at church and it was only this morning that I found the necklace thing. It had gotten lost in the gift bag. Thankfully, though, Elijah called it a bracelet so when he told me to try it on, it was too big so I can hang it on the kitchen wall. ;-)
The boys also picked up a red rose for me while I was editing, which was sweet. I didn’t bother to take a photo of it though, they all look alike after a while. So here’s last year’s rose, for your viewing pleasure:

At 4am, I awoke to the squeezing again, like the morning of the earthquake. This time it was my upper arm. I screamed, “what is wrong with you!?” LOL He says, “oh sorry, I was trying to wake you up again.” I’m all, “first of all, I have a name, second, the wind did that for you now stop touching me.” hehehehe Of course, Steve didn’t remember this later. I dunno what’s with his wanting to inflict pain on me while he’s sleeping these days.
At 5am, we awoke when the wind blew really hard, so hard that, well… We have an extra window AC unit in our room (in addition to the central air) and above that, Steve recently put in some of that insulation board rather than a cloth over the window for more insulation. Well, the wind blew so hard that it popped that board out of the window frame and light flooded into our room! Mind you, there’s two panes of glass or so between that board and the wind! Steve says, “huh. Wow.” and we went back to sleep.
At 7am, it was time for me to get up anyway and I started with some eloquent quoting:
“Little pig, little pig, let me in.”
“Not by the hair of your chiny-chin-chin!”
“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll –”
And that’s when the POKING started. I was more awake than him but he thought I was, apparently, delirious, and started poking me in the ribs.
That was the big adventure with the wind. :P He was certain it would have torn our roof off the house, haha, but surprisingly, the roof didn’t fare all that bad. We lost some shingles but not as many as we’d expected.
So, anyway. Mostly it was a normal Sunday though when I started editing I saw like, some interference in the video, vertical lines and such and it’s everywhere but I didn’t see it when taping so I have NO idea what caused it. We’ll see next week. But then it was lunch and back home then out to my in-laws’ then to Steve’s grandma’s house to say “hi” and give her her card. Speaking of, here are the cards I made this year:

They rock way more than last year. In fact, they took me a whole day to make them! Elijah made some little inserts for them, too. But he was being a little turkey at the time and totally did them half-@$$ed, as they say. Oh, well, he wrote his name in each one of them. Oh but anyway, actually that’s only four Mother’s Day cards, one of them is for my friend who I just heard is pregnant. The cards are all unique in some way or another, though.
Yeah, basically, that was my Mother’s Day, how was yours?
