hmmm… what?
Day #4 of bed rest has not really been off to a great start.
It’s not even quite noon yet and I’ve only been up since 9 or 9:30 and already I’ve had noticeable fluid loss on two occasions (though not nearly what happened on Thursday), I’ve thrown up all my breakfast, haven’t felt baby kick yet, and had a complete melt down in the bathroom.
I know those days are gonna happen, and that they’ll pass and I’ll be back to my old peaceful self. But in the meantime, I’m just feeling pretty depressed today.
Not to mention, it doesn’t help that Elijah has been constantly yelling at the TV and computer. First he’s yelling at the computer because he’s running out of time on a game that he’s really not mature enough for then he’s yelling at The Price is Right every time they go to commercial or someone loses. I mean, the kid was freaking out because the woman didn’t win the car. Then he freaked out because there was a woman up to win a truck but, and I quote, “that’s a boy truck!!” Blah.
Oh well, on the bright side, I don’t have a fever, Sarah is here to take care of me, and I have a doctor’s appointment tonight during which I am supposed to get an ultrasound.

Sometimes a meltdown is needed; you can’t be strong all the time. I’m so glad Sarah is there with you and that you have a doctors appointment tonight. Thinking of you!! Hugs.

It’s 100% ok to have a meltdown. This is a very stressful thing to go through. Prayers for peace of mind, and peace of heart.
Do you have TIVO? I found that to be invaluable while on bedrest with two other little ones running around the house. Dora and the Wiggles saved my sanity :-D

Yes, I needed the meltdown. Steve told me while I was in the hospital, “it’s ok to cry,” which I knew already but it was good to hear. But I had to halt the meltdown when Elijah knocked on the door and said, “what’s wrong, Mama?” He just doesn’t understand, not that I expect him to.
No TIVO here but we have tons of stuff on DVD for him! He is into the Three Stooges now. Yes, he’s completely my kid, LOL ;-)
Thanks Ladies!
