hmmm… what?
Kind of funny how things change. I say one thing and then the next day it’s different. Today we were told they put Kayleigh on the nose cannula full time, as long as she continues to do well with it. If she has to go back to the CPAP, that would be ok, but they’re seeing how things go for now. Also, so far, her blood cultures are good. Her feedings are now raised to 16 milliliters every two hours, up where she should be for her age now, as I understand it. And, finally, her oxygen that they are feeding her has been good, at one point it was at normal air so she is going somewhere between that (which is 21%) and about 35%. It’s higher when she’s on the cannula but in time it will all be normal. AND she weighs 2 lbs and 12 ounces now!!
And with all that said, Steve held her today for the second time. I wasn’t there when he held her the first time though, having been at the hospital in the morning and him making it there in the evening that day. I also held her, today, twice for kangaroo and at one point they had me nuzzle, but no pics of that. :P

“No pics of that,” huh? I’ll bet the paparazzi nurses were SO into documenting your nuzzling :P
