So, what ended up happening? We got a copy of all of our EOB's from the dentist with a handwritten sheet and then a balance circled. Um... I still wasn't clear on if we owed it or not and while I was trying to figure it out, I forgot... Not long later, he sent us to collections! He would have written the debt off for 2012 and then got our payment from collections. And, like an idiot, I didn't realize at the time it is illegal to put interest and fees on medial bills and I ended up paying more than we supposedly owed. Whatever. It was just a total load of crap. They didn't even send a bill reminder, just shipped it off to collections. EVERY other dentist or medical PROFESSIONAL I have ever dealt with, when we forget to pay (which is almost always my case, I just plain forget), they send a second notice. And I pay. Not to mention, had this place didn't even return our original phone call. Had they called back and explained it, I could have paid on the phone right then.

And, get this, I went to his website and sent an email to their info@[website] address about how unprofessional they are... IT BOUNCED BACK! ROFL at this rate, this guy won't be in business much longer! I found out later, too, that he basically came to our state because he failed in the last one... by doing all the same things.

Such a pity, he's a wonderful dentist.

The fact that K can link words together in a sentence is a really positive sign. It illustrates her capacity to build complex sentences, identify words (even if via pictures), and articulate a need. All of this is really, really excellent news. It's much less of a concern to have a child who has language skills but can't articulate than a child who has the capacity to speak, but lacks the language ability to articulate.

I'm not a expert but if there's anything I can do to help/advise/listen to, just holler. :)

At least you turned your insomnia into productivity! Hoping things are more normal now, though.

I love the pictures. Very beautiful.

Sometimes I think cold, fresh air can help with a sickness, but I suppose it depends on what kind of sickness you have.
