I received a letter from this Cardmember Service saying they had reason to believe a credit card had been opened using my name & personal information via INTERNET. It is imparative I contact them immediatly at the phone number they had listed to confirm the validity of the information they have. I called the number, and after a short wait, Scott came on and asked me for my account number. I told him I did not have an account but I had received this letter asking me to call. He then said he would need my social security number to get things started. I hung up.
