I normally don’t rant about bad customer service experences, but i think i’ll make an exception… I just had a nice conversation with a customer service manager at HHGregg corporate call centers, web services department. Based on this call, I will never, ever do business with their online web services again. I purchased a camera for Jen for christmas, to pickup in store. Picked it up, it didn’t work. Returned the item to the store, and I was informed that i would have th…e refund sent back to my card in 3-5 business days. Well guess what? On Business day 4, I called them and I was infomred by the phone rep that it would take 5 – 10 business days. So today, business day 10, or so I thought (guess what they took December 31st as a holiday) and it is nowhere listed on their web site nor on the back of their receipt that it is a holiday.I am so angry and frustrated with their customer service that it isn’t funny. I had the receipt when I returned the item to the store, so you would think that the purchase would be auto credited back to the card…WRONG!!!! unless you have the card in hand so they can swipe it, you will not receive your funds back until they can manually approve the transaction. And then based on this conversation, it could take up to 30 days to get your money back, on the same form of payment that you used to orignially purchase the item. how messed up is that. So take my advise, if you like. I had a bad experence. I will not shop on their web site or in their store again. and even if i do decide to go back it will take alot to get me back into an HHGregg store in the future.
