I reserved a room near an event that I planned to attend the following day. Later on the same day that I made the reservation, I discovered that I would not be able to attend the event. When I called to cancel, I was told that, due to their cancellation policy, I would still be charged the full room rate for the room. This was the first time I made a reservation as a member of their “Priority Club Rewards.”” Apparently

anyone who isn’t afforded this “”special”” priority can cancel their room with little to no penalty. Somehow

I just don’t feel too special. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again and will be sure to tell my friends to do the same. I have worked in public relations for more than 25 years — this is one of the worst cases of customer service that I have ever witnessed. It will be my life mission to pass this word to anyone I can.”
