Complaint: I’ll make this short and simple. I rented a cargo van for a in-town move. I rented the vehicle at 2:00pm and discovered later that evening the tire was flat. No big deal- I would call my local Triple A and get it changed. Well I couldn’t because there was no spare tire. I called the Uhaul 800 # and they took my report. I was told someone from the office I rented from would be at my home at7:30am next day. No call, no one came. I Had to call these guys. The guy said sorry, I can’t get anyone there for an hour. Well that came and went. At 12:00 pm they finally came and took care of it. I asked why there was no spare tire and he said because they get stolen. Stupid, I thought because I got the s— end of the stick. I tried to call the manager, Javier, I think, and of course he never called me back after 2 messages. I did get him on the 3rd call and asked for an extra day at no cost since no of this was my fault- considering the missing spare tire and all. He said NO, that all I could do was turn in the van 3 hours late. Any later and I would be charged. I tried to comlain to the 800 customer service line and was given an address to write to in Van Nuys. I sent my letter stating all this and got no reply. These guys are real class act pieces of s**t.
