Went to Wal Mart today in Cave Creek, AZ. An assistant manager checked all our ad-match items and if one word on the product label didn’t match the ad, she disallowed the discount. They use words like bone-in and assorted for meat, etc. All a savvy purchasing department has to do is scope all the local grocery store ads in the area and then change one or two words in their product labeling to be able to deny the ad-match. It’s the old bait and switch scheme. In my opinion this borders on major fraud that is being committed millions of time per day around the country and the Feds should look into it.
