Sent email through a friends yahoo account that was illegally spammed
My Complaint: I received email from my friend that was not sent by her – but her email address was spammed. She did not send me this site to go to:dcheaponlinestore.com/x…
I went to the site and it took me to a Dr. Oz site advertising Garcinia Cambogia Extract. It led me to believe this site was through and recommended by Dr. Oz. It used his video advertising. I clicked on the order here link and was asked to give my email address name and phone number. All sites said they were secure. I ordered and paid with my credit card information, then was told by my friend it was not sent by her. I started getting solicitor calls from this company and told them I wanted to cancel the order and wanted my name taken off their list. The calls continued. I tried to get back online and cancel my order but there was no way to do this. I received the package and opened it to get a return receipt. There was no return label in this to return the product. There was an invoice with the phone number: 855-978-6683
I called that – was placed on hold – then told I needed to be transferred to get an rma number.
A man who said his name was Matt and he was the supervisor asked me why I wanted to send the order back. I told him I felt that I was spammed and tricked and I wanted my money back.
He said he would give me my money back with a $5.95 each discount for their stocking fee on the 4 bottles and give me the RMA number to use – but he could offer me another discount to keep the product. I said no I wanted the refund. He asked me if I had contacted my bank about this.
He put me on hold and came back and kept repeating different discount options. I again repeated I wanted my refund and he kept repeating discounts and told me that if I didn’t listen to the discounts he would disconnect the call. I told him I would contact my lawyer. I have reported this to my bank and want other people to beware of this scam.
My Demand: refund of the order and a return of the product.
